1st grader killed after being hit by easy bike in Cox’s Bazar

A schoolgirl was killed and two other persons were injured after a battery-run three-wheeler, known as easy-bike, hit them in Kutubdia upazila of Cox's Bazar this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Mehrunnesa Putu (7), a student of Manoharkhali Government Primary School and daughter of Badsha Mia of Manoharkhali village, said Md Omar Haider, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kutubdia Police Station.

The accident happened in front of the school around 2pm, our Cox's Bazar staff correspondent reports quoting the OC.

The injured were admitted to Kutubdia Upazila Health Complex, he said.

Police are conducting raids to seize the easy-bike, the police official added.
