Abul Hashem made DMD of Al-Arafah Islami Bank

Sayed Abul Hashem has been appointed as deputy managing director (DMD) and chief financial officer (CFO) of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC.

Prior to taking up this new role, Hashem was serving as deputy managing director and CFO of Premier Bank PLC, according to a press release.

He began his professional banking career at Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC as a principal officer in 2000.

Over a professional journey spanning more than 26 years, he has held key leadership positions at several top-tier financial institutions.

He previously worked at Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC and Mutual Trust Bank PLC.

Hashem obtained both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Dhaka.

He is a fellow chartered accountant and a fellow cost and management accountant.
