28-man squad for NZ series announced

Bangladesh Cricket Board on Thursday announced a 28-member preliminary squad for the series against New Zealand due to begin in October. Pacer Masrafe Bin Mortaza has returned for the home series which include two tests, three ODI and one T20. Mohammad Ashraful, who had been provisionally suspended by the BCB until the anti-corruption unit’s report, was not in the squad. The New Zealand team will arrive in Dhaka on October 1. The first Test is to start at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong on October 9. The players have been asked to report for training on October 1 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Preliminary Squad: Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmud Ullah, Anamul Haque, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Nasir Hossain, Mohammad Elias, Ziaur Rahman, Masrafe Bin Mortaza, Jahurul Islam, Shafiul Islam, Abdur Razzak, Naeem Islam, Sohag Gazi, Rubel Hossain, Mominul Hoque, Shamsur Rahman, Marshall Ayub, Robiul Islam, Farhad Reza, Mehrab Hossain, Sajedul Islam, Al Amin, Enamul Hoque (Jr.), Souyma Sarker, Sabbir Rahman, Muktar Ali and Nur Hossain.
