14-party to hold countrywide rallies Monday

The ruling Awami League-led 14-party alliance has announced to hold rallies across the country on Monday to protest the violence carried out by Hefajat-e Islam activists in the capital. Awami League Presidium Member Mohammad Nasim came up with the announcement at a press briefing on Sunday night, after activists of Hefajat-e Islam and Islami Chhatra Shibir clashed with police at the city's Paltan, leaving three people dead. The alliance leaders and activists will hold a rally in the capital's Bangabandhu Avenue at 3:00pm Monday.
