No trace yet of 'missing' BCL leader

Police are yet to rescue BCL leader Saiful Islam who 'went missing' in Dhaka about two weeks ago. Teachers and students of law department at the Islamic University yesterday formed a human chain on the campus, protesting 'indifference' of the law enforcers to the incident. Held in front of the administrative building, the programme was joined by chairman of the department Dr. Akram Hossain Mazumder, dean of the law faculty Prof Sahjahan Mondol, Profe Selim Toha, Prof Abdul Karim Khan, Dr. Halima Khatun, proctor Prof Jahangir Hossain and student advisor Prof Mahbubur Rahman. Saiful, president of BCL Bangbandhu Hall unit, went 'missing' in Dhaka on January 22. Sources said, Saiful went to Dhaka on the previous day to meet the BCL central leaders. He went missing while returning to Kazipara from Farmgate area at about 9:15pm, they said. At that time, Saiful was going to one of his friend's mess at Kazipara after meeting BCL leaders at Awami League central office in Dhanmondi.
