Bullet-hit body found
A bullet-hit body of a man was found in a water body in Balaganj upazila of Sylhet yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Quddus, 36, of the upazila's Bhoraut village.
Villagers noticed the body floating in Bhoraut haor and informed police.
Osmaninagar police recovered the body and sent it to Sylhet Osmani Medical College morgue for autopsy.
Police said the body bore bullet injury marks to the chest.
Quoting family sources of the deceased, police said some unidentified men called out Abdul from his house after midnight yesterday, after which he went missing.
Abdul's wife Raina Begum filed a case with Osmaninagar Police Station in this connection.
