College student murdered in Sylhet
A college student was killed over a trivial matter in the district on Sunday evening.
The deceased was identified as Nurul Amin alias Sohel, 22, of Silam Pashchim Para village in the city suburb.
He was also a student of final year honours at Madan Mohan College.
Md Morsalin, officer in-charge of Moglabazar PS, said Nurul was severely injured as microbus driver Rafiq stabbed him at about 8:15pm, following an altercation between them over 'theft' of a chicken.
Nurul was rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Father of the deceased later filed a case, accusing Rafiq and his wife.
