BSF yet to return 2 Yemeni nationals

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) is yet to hand over two Yemeni nationals, who were picked up by them from 'no man's land' on Sree Rampur border of Patgram upazila on January 15, said an official of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). Two flag meetings were held between Border Guard Bangladesh and BSF on the border on Wednesday and Thursday over the issue but to effect yet. A Tablig team comprising 10 members, including six Yemenis and their four Bangladeshi guides, went to Masterbari Jame Masjid (mosque) in the border area on Tuesday afternoon. The Yemenis are Quayed Moqbul Ahmed, 44, Daresia Ya Dimdam, 48, Ahmed Ayes Azsalad, 55, Yah Yah Adsam Ali, 63, Ali Al Abid Abdullah, 70, and Soleh Ahmad Saleh, 42. A patrol team of Panishala BSF camp in Cooch Behar district of Paschimbanga, BSF picked up Ali Al Abid Abdullah and Soleh Ahmad Soleh when the duo entered the 'no mans land', said Lalmonirhat 31 BGB Battalion Major Ruhul Amin. Yemeni national Quayed Moqbul Ahmed said, “We came to Bangladesh for the first time. Two of our associates entered the 'no man's land' as by mistake as they did not know that it was a restricted place”.
