15 cocktails seized near AL council venue
Police seized 15 cocktails and seven machetes from near the venue of local upazila (Awami League) AL council in Sariakandi on Wednesday.
Police and locals said, the seizure was made when the annual council of the ruling party was in progress at the public library field.
A patrol team of police recovered the cocktails and machetes from a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, standing near the venue, at around 5:00pm.
However, none was arrested in this connection as the three-wheeler was found in an abandoned state, said assistant superintendent of police Mokbul Hossain.
