Charges pressed against 87 BNP activists
Police on Thursday submitted charge sheet against 87 BNP men in two separate cases filed on charge of violence and torching two motorbikes during the countrywide roadblock by 18-party alliance on December 9.
Besides, newsmen Sonjoy Kumer Das Litu, Patauakhali correspondent of Desh TV and Bangladesh Protidin and Hanjala Shihab, district correspondent of Diganta TV, were also charged.
Shahidul Hasan and Abu Bakkar Talukder, both activists of district Awami League, filed the cases with Patuakhali police station accusing 106 BNP men.
Md Moniruzzaman and Md Khalilur Rahman, sub-inspectors of the PS, submitted the charge sheet.
