4 Jamaat-Shibir men held
Police arrested four activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir in Palbari area of the district town on Friday night. The arrestees are Fasiar Rahman, son of Ahmed Ali Molla, and Abul Kalam Azad, son of Abdul Wahid of Palbai area; Rajibul Haque, son of Mashiul Azam of Kadamtala area of Sadar upazila, and Mizanur Rahman, son of Habibur Rahman of Ghoshpara area of Puratan Kosba. Wahiduzzaman, sub-inspector of Jessore Kotwali Police Station, said on secret information, a team raided the area and arrested them on charge of planning subversive activities.
