<i>All to grab land of her father</i>
A girl has stopped attending college as a few locals harassed her on the way to the institution in Rangabali upazila.
Victim's father Alamgir Hossain of Phulkhali village submitted a written complaint to Bangladesh Ain Sohayota Kendra in Dhaka in this regard on Tuesday after failing to get support from the local people.
According to the complaint, the girl, a first year student at Rangabali College, could not attend classes because of the teasing.
Villagers said it was done in a planned way by a local following a dispute over a piece of land.
One Abdur Razzak allegedly occupied the land of the girl's father recently. When Razzak was asked to return the land, he filed a false case with Rangabali police station against the plaintiff to harass him.
Mahbubur Rahman, officer in-charge of the PS, however said Alamgir is a charge sheeted accused in a murder case.
Regarding the stalking issue, the OC said nobody came to him to file any complaint in this regard.
