Twin murder in B'baria
Two staffs of a shop at Ashuganj River Port in the district were brutally killed by a gang in the early hours of yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Muhammad Hanif Mia, 35, of Mithaman upazila of Kishoreganj district and Awal Hossain, 30, of Shohagpur village under Ashuganj upazila in B'baria.
According to police and hospital sources, after their day's work at Messrs Moloy Enterprise, Hanif, Awal and Jewel went to bed at a room of the shop on Saturday night. But two of them were found murdered in the early morning.
Local people found the bodies of Hanif and Awal lying in a pool of blood on the floor of the room while Jewel remained 'missing'.
Contacted, additional police superintendent Md Zahidul Islam said it was a preplanned murder.
Awal was hit in the head while Hanif was suffocated to death by the gang, he said.
