Three school students go 'missing'
Three school students of Sadar upazila went 'missing' on Wednesday morning.
The boys are -- Anik Mamud, son of Abdul Mannan of Ukiara village, Safayet Hossain Shaikat, son of Masudur Rahman of Uchutia village and Sufian Hasan Joy, son of Joinuddin of Joyra village of Sadar upazila. All of them are students of Class Nine at Manikganj Government High School.
They went out of their houses for taking part in a cricket match at Shahid Miraz-Tapan Stadium of the district, Anik's father Abdul Mannan told this correspondent.
Shaikat's mother Dalia Begum said, her son made a cell phone call and said they were confined to a house. Shaikat also urged her to save him, she said.
Officer in charge (OC) of Manikganj Sadar police station Shafiqul Islam, however, said that the three friends were staying in Cox's Bazar.
Police came to know this by mobile phone tracking, the OC said.
