Mob beats 4 cohorts of robber Nizam
A mob beat up four suspected robbers and cohorts of robber ringleader Nizam at Kaladorap in Hatiya upazila of Noakhali last night after hearing his death in 'shootout'.
The suspected robbers were Joynal, 35, Md Seraj, 45, Fayej Akerani, 50, and Belal, 30.
Witnesses said following the death news of the robber ringleader, locals raided the area of 'Nizam Bahini' and beat them indiscriminately.
At one stage, the four got unconscious and the locals informed police of the matter. Later, police arrested the alleged robbers.
Swapan Kumar Bhowmik, in-charge of Naler Char Police Camp, said the four were sent to the court yesterday.
Nizam, 35, son of M Ruhul Amin, a resident of Shiba village in Ramgati upazila of Laxmipur, was killed in a 'shootout' with Rab at Charbata village in Subarnachar upazila of Noakhali early Thursday.
