Two commit 'suicide' in Dinajpur
A schoolgirl and a youth allegedly committed suicide after parents turned down their love affairs in Biral upazila early yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Janaki Rani Roy, 15, daughter of Gendu Chandra Roy and Paritosh Chandra Roy, 24, son of Jyotish Chandra Roy of Matiyain village.
The girl had an affair with Paritohs, who worked at a local rice husking mill, for long.
But their parents declined to accept the relation when the matter became public.
Later, the duo took their lives by hanging themselves from a tree at the village at midnight.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies and sent them to the hospital morgue for autopsy, said Amirul Islam, officer in-charge of Biral police station.
