Local administration of Lalpur upazila imposed Section 144 as two factions of local BNP unit called their programmes at the same time and venue. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdur Rahman said the restriction on holding any programme in Gopalpur municipality will remain in force for 16 hours from 6:00am to 11:00pm on Thursday.
