Drug peddler jailed

A court here on Tuesday sentenced a man to one year's rigorous imprisonment for possessing contraband Phensidyl. Judge Nurul Alam M Nepu of the District Special Tribunal-4 pronounced gave the verdict to Kamrul Ahsan, 30, of Pipolita village in Sadar upazila. The court also fined the convict Tk 2,000 and acquitted his wife Kajol Begum of the same case.
