15 rescued from traffickers

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) rescued 15 people, including women and children, while being trafficked to India through Sadipur border yesterday morning. All the victims hailed from Barisal, said Rafiqul islam, camp commander of 26 BGB, Benapole. On secret information, a team raided the border area and rescued six children, two women and seven men. Later, they were handed over to the police, said Rafiqul. According to a victim, they gave a handsome amount to the human traffickers.
