Fire burns sugarcane field
Fire destroyed sugarcane over 200 bighas of land was gutted in a devastating fire near Bishnu Farm under Natore Sadar upazila Sunday noon. Firefighters and local people said the fire originated at about 1:30pm in the northern side of the field through an unidentified source. Sugarcane over 200 bighas out 250 bighas of land was gutted. On information, two units of firefighters from Natore and Dayarampur fore station in Natore district rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after fighting one and half hours. Abdur Rauf, officer-in-charge of Natore fire station said, the loss of the blaze could not be estimated immediately.
