16 rescued from traffickers

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) rescued 16 people from Sadipur border yesterday while they were being trafficked to India. The victims, including four women and two children, hailed from different areas of Bhola, Narail and Gopalganj districts. Acting on a tip-off, a BGB team raided the area in the morning and rescued the 16, from the border point, said Subedar Badsha Mia, in-charge of Benapole BGB camp. However, none was arrested.
