BSF abducts Bangladeshi
A Bangladeshi national was abducted allegedly by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Subhorajpur border point in Meherpur district on Friday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Faker Ali, 50, son of late Yar Ali of Solmari in Sadar upazila, said Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) sources.
Subedar Zulfiqur Ali, commander of Kathuli Company of BGB in Meherpur, said the BSF men picked up Faker at about 4:30pm when he was trying to cross the border.
In Joypurhat, members of BGB yesterday arrested five Indian teenage boys, who allegedly intruded into Bangladesh at Koya border in Pachbibi upazila of the district, reports our Dinajpur correspondent.
The arrestees are Mahabul Mondal, 19, Rezzakul Mondal, 18, Shamim Mondal, 16, Rummad Mondal, 16, and Sudev Devnath, 17, of Sonapara village under Hili PS in Dakkhin Dinajpur, India.
