One killed in clash
A man was killed and 10 others were injured in a clash over holding a religious meeting at Narayanpur Madinatul Nurani Hafezia Madrasa in Iswarganj upazila of Mymensingh on Thursday.
The deceased was Fazlul Haque, 60, one of the donors of the madrasa.
Kamrul Islam, officer-in-charge at Iswarganj Police Station, said the clash ensued as the madrasa's former and present governing body members locked in an altercation when they met to discuss holding of an annual religious meeting on the madrasa premises.
The injured were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where doctors declared Fazlul dead around 11:00pm on that day.
A case was filed with the police station.
