Four killed in road crashes
Four people were killed and five others injured in road accidents in Natore and Mymensingh yesterday.
Our Correspondent from Natore reports, two people were killed in a head-on collision between two trucks in Bonpara area of Baraigram upazila in Natore yesterday morning.
Meher Uddin, 45, of Bahanbaria in Mirpur upazila of Kushtia died instantly while Mohammad Alamin, of Shanta village in Sharsha upazila of Jessore died at a local clinic, police said.
Our Mymensingh correspondent adds, two people were killed and five others injured in a road accident in front of BRAC office at Churkhai in Sadar upazila of the district last night.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Police said the accident took place when a BRTC bus from Haluaghat upazila hit a tempo from behind around 8:00pm, leaving seven passengers of the tempo critically injured.
The injured were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital where the young men died. Police seized the bus.
