2 Indian scientists arrive in Dhaka to boost agricultural cooperation
Two Indian agricultural scientists arrived in Dhaka yesterday on a four-day visit for further cooperation in the field of agriculture and food security between India and Bangladesh.
Dr Sunil Kumar Ambast and Dr Buddeshwar Maji, experts on sustainable land management and soil productivity, will hold discussions with officials of the agriculture ministry and Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council in Dhaka.
They will also visit Satkhira on September 24-25 to educate farmers on practices to determine the capabilities of soils and the effects of alternative practices on soil productivity and sustainability, says a press release.
Their visit concludes on September 25.
Dr Ambast and Dr Maji work for Indian Council for Agricultural Research.
