Man killed by brothers and nephew over land dispute
A man was stabbed to death over a land dispute at Charsubuddhi village in Raipura upazila on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Kabir Hossain 32, son of late Momin Mia of the village.
Police and locals said there was a longstanding dispute between Kabir Hossain and his brothers Bazlu Mia and Hazrat Ali over a piece of land.
Bazlu along with his brother Hazrat Ali and son Shamim Mia called Kabir out of his house and took him to a nearby field at midnight where they stabbed him to death.
On information, a team of police led by SI Lutfor Rahman of Raipura police station, rushed to the spot and arrested Kabir's two brothers and nephew Shamim.
Later, on interrogation, they confessed that they killed Kabir following a land dispute.
