Man arrested for raping stepdaughter in Ctg
Police arrested a man from New Mooring area in Chittagong city yesterday on charge of raping his 12-year-old stepdaughter.
Shamsul Islam, officer-in-charge at Karnaphuli Police Station, said they arrested the accused Kabir Ahamd, 32, a fisherman, from the area around 4.30am.
On June 10, the victim's mother Kajol Rekha filed a case alleging that Kabir raped her daughter at his residence when she [Kajol] was not at the house, he said.
Quoting the victim's mother, police said Kajol went to her father's home in Jhalakathi on June 3, and Kabir committed the crime on that night.
