Two illegal water factories fined
Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (NCRP) Chittagong fined two illegal water factories Tk 45 thousand in Middle Halishahar area of Chittagong city yesterday.
Drop Enterprise and RM Drinking Water were fined Tk 25 thousand and Tk20 thousand respectively under Consumers' Rights Protection Act 2009, said a press release of the NCRP.
The two companies had been selling drinking water for long without Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution's (BSTI) certificate and approval from Department of Environment.
