ACC grills Destiny chief, directors
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday further interrogated six officials of Destiny Group, including its Managing Director (MD) Mohammad Rafiqul Amin, about alleged irregularities by the multilevel company.
Among the officials were Destiny Group's Directors Tariqul Huda, Farida Akhter and Saidur Rahman, and distributors Yusuf Ali and Mamunur Rasdhid.
The officials were quizzed in connection with alleged corruption by them, said ACC Director Squadron Leader Tahidul Islam.
Witnesses said the seven officials visited the ACC's Segunbagicha office in the capital from 12:30 to 2:30pm yesterday.
While departing, Rafiqul Amin told reporters that they went to the office to submit various evidential documents in favour of them as the ACC was investigating some allegations raised against them by different media.
"According to ACC's requirements, we submitted various papers and documents regarding the allegation on the project of 'Destiny Multipurpose Cooperative Society'," he said.
"We will further visit the ACC office to submit papers regarding the projects of 'Tree Plantation' and 'Destiny 2000 Ltd'," he added.
