JU environment science students stage sit-in
Students of environment science department of Jahangirnagar University (JU) staged a sit-in on the campus yesterday, demanding withdrawal of an expulsion order on one of their fellow mates.
Following a feud over classroom crisis, GM Hossain, a student of the department, allegedly assaulted Aheteshamul Haqe, a staff of Biological science faculty on June 13.
In the wake of protest, JU authorities expelled the student on June 16.
Academic activities of the department were hampered as the students have been boycotting classes and examinations since last Saturday.
