Aiming to enhance users' computing experience, Intel launched its 3rd generation Intel Core processor platforms. These processors would process information faster and offer better security features, while consuming lesser power. Rajiv Bhalla, director, North and East India, Bangladesh, Intel South Asia and Zia Manzur, country business manager for Intel in Bangladesh, introduced the new technology of Intel in Bangladesh at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in the capital. The next wave of ultra sleek Ultrabook systems inspired by Intel was introduced at the event. Powered by 3Grd generation Intel Core processors, made with the world's most advanced 22nm 3-D tri-gate transistors, these new Ultrabook devices are responsive and more secure to better protect personal information. The new chip also offers increased media and graphics performance, long battery life and more choice in stylish designs. "Similar to the introduction of Intel Centrino nearly a decade ago, this is a time of revolutionary change in personal computing," said Bhalla. He also said, "The innovation will continue in the coming years as Intel and the industry aim to raise the bar for personal computing experiences, evolving to more natural and intuitive interactions. Personal computing as we know it today will suddenly seem old fashioned. The new Ultrabooks are expected to have added features like increased durability, touchscreen and additional sensors." "Ultrabooks, compared to laptops, are not only slimmer and more stylish, but they are also more responsive, protected and mobile. They offer increased media and graphics performance and a long battery life", Zia Manzur added. Ultrabook devices will wake in a flash, meaning the system will transition from deep sleep (S4 mode) to its active state in less than 7 seconds. Additionally, all Ultrabook devices are now required to be 'responsive while active' in that they will load and run users' favorite apps quickly. Connecting at blazing speed is also now possible with the addition of USB 3.0, Thunderbolt technology or both. Thunderbolt technology is a high-speed connection that allows incredibly fast transfers. For example, a full-length HD movie can be transferred to an Ultrabook in less than 30 seconds. Security has become more important to protect users' data, devices and personal assets. The next wave of Ultrabook systems is equipped with enhanced security features, including Intel Anti-Theft technology that lets people automatically disable the system if it is lost or stolen. In a post-event interview Bhalla said Intel has a great expectation from Bangladesh as it sees a lot of potential in Bangladesh market and a lot of attention will be paid towards this market so that they can grow the market.
