2 electrocuted in Jessore, Nilphamari
Two people were electrocuted in Jessore and Nilphamari districts yesterday and on Sunday.
In Jessore, a shopkeeper died following a severe electric shock at his shop at Khedapara Bazar in Monirampur upazila yesterday morning.
The victim was identified as Shankar Paul, 35, son of Bolai Paul of the area, reports our Benapole correspondent.
Police and locals said Shankar received severe electric shock while working at his shop around 9 am.
Critically injured, he was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital where he died later.
In Nilphamari, a teenage boy was electrocuted at Dakkhin Chawra Anjumanpara village in Sadar upazila on Sunday.
The victim was identified Kibria, 18, son of Ramjan Ali of the village, reports UNB.
Locals said Kibria was electrocuted while trying to refix a snapped electrical wire around noon.
He was rushed to Nilphamari Modern Sadar Hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead.
