Abducted boy rescued
A 10-year-old boy, abducted from Chowrasta Bazar in Kalaroa upazila of Satkhira on May 13, was rescued in Keshabpur upazila of Jessore early yesterday.
A gang of three abducted Khairul Islam, son of Tamej Uddin of Nilkanthapur village in Kalaroa upazila while he was going to the bazar at around 4:30pm.
They took Khairul to Mulgram village in Keshabpur upazila and confined him to a house
Acting on a tip-off, police raided the house at the village at around 3:00am and rescued Khairul from there.
They also arrested one of the gang members named Minto while the rest two managed to flee, sensing the presence of the law enforcers.
Contacted, Sub-inspector (SI) Mohsin Hossain of Kalaroa Police Station, said they are trying to arrest the two other members of the gang.
