Outlaw held, firearms seized
A number of a faction of outlawed Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) was held with firearms of Boroibaria village in Ataikula on Monday afternoon.
Arrestee Motalib Hossain allias Turu, 35 is son of Abdur Rahim of Boroibaria village and regional leader of PBCP Janajudhha faction, police said.
Sub-inspector of Ataikula police station Md. Nazmul Islam said, acting on a tip off, a team of police raided Boroibaria village at about 4.30pm on Monday. The team arrested turu and recovered a shutter gun and two bullets from his possession.
Motalib is accused in several cases including two for murder. He is one of the listed criminals, SI Nazmul said.
