Education officer held
Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested Dumuria upazila primary education officer from his office on Tuesday night in connection with a criminal case. Md Yasin Gazi, sub-inspector of Mirpur police station in Dhaka, arrested Sheikh Abdul Gani at around 6:30pm. Md Shah Jalal of Dumuria PS, said the arrestee was taken to Mirpur PS on the same night. On March 13, Mainul Islam, a businessman of Mirpur filed FIR against the education officer on charge of demanding Tlk 10 lakh as toll over his cell phone.
