Man stabbed to death
An elderly man was stabbed to death allegedly by his neighbour at Alisahaspur village in Bholahat upazila yesterday morning. The victim is Ekramul Ali, 60, of the village. Hossain Suhrawardy, officer in-charge of Bholahat police station, there was a longstanding clash between Ekramul and Jahan Ali over a disputed land. Family members of Jahan and Ekramul locked in an altercation over the issue at around 7:45am. At one stage, Jahan attacked the victim with a knife, leaving him injured seriously. Ekramul died on way to upazila health complex. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy. Police arrested Jahan, 25, son of Afsar Ali, in this connection, said the OC.
