Statue recovered
Police recovered a precious statue of Hindu god Visnu from Hossain Fakirer Bari at Jahapur village in Babuganj upazila yesterday afternoon and arrested two people in this connection. On secret information, an eight-member team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, led by assistant commissioner Abu Saleh Ahmed, raided the area and arrested Humayan Fakir and his accomplice Nanna Howladar along with the statue weighing 122 kilogram.
