Piranha, jatka seized
A mobile court seized 280kg carnivorous piranha and 20kg jatka (hilsa fry) worth Tk 28,000 from Fisheryghat area under Kotwali police station in the port city on Monday. A team of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-7) led by Chittagong District Executive Magistrate Mukitul Hasan, conducted the drive from 6.00am to 1.30pm and seized the fishes. Seized jatka (hilsa fry) were sold at the local market while piranha destroyed in front of people.
