Robbers loot house
Robbers looted cash, gold and other valuables worth Tk 10 lakh from a house in Purba Kushighat area of the city early Friday. Locals said a gang of robbers stormed into the house of Phul Mia at around 3:00am and took the family members hostage at gunpoint. At one stage, they beat up the victims indiscriminately, leaving the house owner and his mother Sajeda Begum critically wounded.
