20 injured in clash with police in Bogra
At least 20 persons, including two policemen, were injured in a clash at Sherpur upazila of Bogra yesterday evening following a death in a road accident on Dhaka-Dinajpur highway.
A three-wheeler driver Md Bablu Miah, 32, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Bogra following a road accident, said Sherpur police.
A bus hit the three-wheeler at Dharmokam area of the upazila, leaving him injured critically at around 5:00pm.
A group of agitated local people blocked the highway and damaged vehicles when the news of the death spread.
They locked into a clash with the local police.
After one hour, riot police reached the scene and brought the situation under control.
