Boy rescued, three sued on charge of kidnapping girl
A five-year-old boy was rescued in Patuakhali on Saturday while three youths were sued on the previous day on charge of kidnapping a teenage girl in Lalmonirhat.
The boy from Joydevpur in Gazipur was rescued in Kuakata Saturday noon after three days, reports our Patuakhali correspondent.
A team of Rab-8 of Patuakhali camp rescued the boy and arrested four kidnappers at the time of receiving the ransom.
Arrestees Md Eunus Musullee, 60, Taiyub Ali Farazee, 35, Shahidul Sikder, 28 and Mirazur Rahman, 22, hail from different villages under Kalapara upazila in Patuakhali.
Victim Shimul is son of Sohel Rana of Joydevpur.
Mirazur Rahman, leader of the kidnappers gang later demanded Tk 50,000 as ransom over phone from the family of the victim.
In Lalmonirhat, a college girl was abducted at Mandolerhat village of Mohendro Nagar union under Sadar upazila on Thursday.
Daughter of Moneshwar Chandro Roy, the victim is an HSC second year student.
According to a case filed by Moneshwar Roy, one Swapon Chandro Roy,25, had been stalking his daughter for the last two years.
Hearing the news of fixing the date of her daughter's marriage, Swapon along with Holeshwar Roy,30, and Protap Roy,29, abducted the girl.
They picked her up on a microbus at around 2:00 pm on Thursday noon when she was returning home from the college.
Moneshwar on Friday sued the three youths on charge of abducting her daughter.
