Bogra prisoner dies
An inmate of Bogra District Jail, who fell ill Friday night, died at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital last night. Deceased Md Babla Miah, 50, was awarded two years' rigorous imprisonment (RI) under Narcotics Control Act, district jail sources said. He died of illness due to taking drugs for long, the sources added. Bogra Sadar police said, when Babla Miah fell ill Friday night, he was admitted to the hospital and he died at night. Babla was sent to the district jail on November 1 after he was sentenced for offence.
