Top outlaw arrested in Pabna

Detective Branch police arrested a top operative of outlawed Purbo Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) from a village in Faridpur upazila on Sunday night. Arrestee Md Manik Khan, 35, son of Bahadur Khan of Hadal village is a 'regional leader' of outlawed PBCP and accused in at least 4 cases including for murder, police claimed. Sub Inspector Yeasir Arafat of Pabna DB police said, acting on a tip off, a DB team raided Hadal village on Sunday evening and caught Manik near his residence. Police recovered a revolver, a sharp weapon and bullets from his possession.
