Robbery in Laxmipur
A gang of armed robbers looted cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Tk 5 lakh from the house of a businessman at Deopara village in Sadar upazila early Friday. Sources said, the gang numbering 10/12, stormed into the house of Jasim Uddin breaking the door open at about 3am. Later, they took the members of the house hostage at gunpoint and looted Tk 1.5 lakh in cash, 6 tolas of gold ornaments and other valuables.
