Pabna textile engg college shut
Pabna Textile Engendering College has been shut till the Eid-ul-Azha following a clash between two groups of students of the college.
The academic council after holding an urgent meeting closed the college and told students to vacate the hostel by Tuesday night. Earlier the first year and third year students of the college locked in a clash over a trifling issue.
College sources said, a football game was held three days ago between the first year and third year students and the first year students won the match. After that a tense situation prevailed as the junior and senior students confronted over the issue. Chief instructor of the college Emran Russel said the students locked in a violent clash on the campus on Tuesday afternoon. Later, police was called to control the situation.
Following the incident, the college academic council held an urgent meeting in the evening and decided to shut the college till the Eid-ul-Azha vacation, he said.
