13 rescued from traffickers
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) rescued 13 people including children and women yesterday morning while being trafficked to India through Putkhali border. Putkhali BGB camp commander Zillur Rahman said that all the rescued people hailed from city areas in Barisal district. According to a victim, they gave a handsome amount to the human traffickers. A gang took them to Putkhali border promising to take them to India and provide jobs there, he said.
