Saudi expat murdered
A Bangladeshi expatriate in Saudi Arabia was murdered by unknown assailants at Chalkbarul village in Gaibandha Sadar upazila early yesterday.
Police said, an armed gang entered the room of Aminul Islam,35, late at night and slit his throat in sleep.
Police could not ascertain the motive behind the murder.
Family sources said, Aminul came home from Saudi Arabia a few days ago and was supposed to leave for his workplace after two months.
His wife Minera Begum could not say anything although she was sleeping in the same room with her 8-year-old daughter.
Police, however, picked up four people including wife, mother and two brothers of the victim for interrogation.
