Robbery at houses of 2 expats
Robbers looted gold ornaments, cash and other valuables from two expatriates' houses at Kaysthagram Gutigaon village in Fenchuganj upazila early Saturday.
Police said, breaking open the door, a gang of armed robbers numbering 10/15 entered the house of UK expatriate Haji Abdus Sattar at around 2:30am.
They looted 15 tolas of gold ornaments, cash Tk 83,000, three mobile phone sets and other valuables.
Later, the gang entered the adjacent house of another UK expatriate Syed Bazlur Rashid Sumon and looted six tolas of gold ornaments and two mobile phone sets keeping the house members hostage at gunpoint.
