10 injured in clash over disputed land in Satkhira

At least 10 people, including three women, were injured in a clash between two rival groups over harvesting paddy from a disputed land at Sujanshaha village in Tala upazila on Friday. Police quoting locals said there was a long-standing dispute between Monsur Sardar and Dalil Uddin of the village over the ownership of the land. Locals said at around 9:00 am Monsur's daughter along with aides went to the disputed land to cut boro paddy cultivated by Dalil. Being resisted by Dalil and his family members, Monsur's men equipped with lethal weapons attacked them leaving 10 people seriously injured. The injured were admitted to Sadar hospital.
