Lightning kills two
Two people were killed by lightning in Panchagarh and Thakurgaon districts on Wednesday.
In Panchagarh, lightning killed a woman at Amlahar village under Sadar upazila in the afternoon.
Family and local people said Panchami Rani, 35, was struck by lightning on the premises of their house in the afternoon and died instantly.
In Thakurgaon, a man was killed and his wife and son were injured by lightning at Kalanda village under Baliadangi upazila in the morning.
The dead is Khairul Islam, 40. Locals said Khairul and his wife and son were struck by lightning while working on a field near their house at around 10:30am.
